The Broadcasting Coordinating Council (BCC) issued a public warning to 10 TV channels for violating the Regulations on Coverage of Election Campaign for the Parliamentary Elections 2014. According to the monitoring held by the regulator, the broadcasters violated the principles of balanced coverage.

Thus, the channels Prime, Publika TV, Canal 2 and Canal 3 were in favor of the Democratic Party, neutrally or positively. These channels, according to reports of the press, belong to Vlad Plahotniuc, the deputy chairman of the Democratic Party.

According to the same monitoring, the TV channels TV7, N4, and Euro TV sympathized with the Liberal Democratic Party. Accent TV paints Patria party in the best light, while Ren Moldova was favorable to the Communists’ Party. Jurnal TV was characterized by unbalanced coverage of the activities of the Democratic Party.
